🌟 Five Years of Impact: Serving Our Superheroes Celebrates a Milestone

This month marks five years since the launch of Serving Our Superheroes — a journey that began on Easter Bank Holiday, 13th April 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

From sewing our first laundry bags to distributing thousands of essential items, we’ve grown into an international charity, officially registered on 22nd September 2020 and expanded globally by 26th September 2021.

✨ Key Milestones & Projects

Over the past five years, we’ve:

✅ Helped over 193,000 people
✅ Distributed 193,216+ items
✅ Contributed an estimated £4.5 million in donated goods

💜 Signature Initiatives:

• Pants for Patients: Over 2,167 pairs of handmade trousers provided to hospital patients since February 2022.

• Toiletry & Hygiene Packs: Including washbags, sanitary items, and luxury skincare hampers.

• Support for People with Dementia: Twiddle muffs and other sensory aids.

• Baby & New Mum Support: Baby hats, cardigans, blankets, and full baby packs.

• Warmth & Comfort: Handmade quilts, large blankets, sleeping bags for the homeless.

• Girls’ Dresses & Baby Clothing: Handcrafted garments made and gifted with care.

• Community Relief: Support for schools operating pantry/toiletry banks amid the cost of living crisis.

📦 Recent Activity – Spring 2025

In March, we delivered:

• Treat packs, hospital trousers, and sanitary towels to James Cook University Hospital.

• Comfort packs to Michael Sobell Hospice.

• Supplies to local schools supporting vulnerable students and families.

This April, our focus is on:

• Assembling baby packs for new mothers.

• Continuing to build homeless support packs for those in need.

To mark this special milestone, we’ve released our third charity single, “Grace,” now available for purchase on iTunes. Proceeds help fund our ongoing work and spread a message of hope and resilience.
